Descrizione
La croce di San Giorgio, simbolo della sovranità britannica, è caricata con lo stemma concesso il 2 agosto 1924 dopo il distacco dal resto dell'Irlanda e da una corona che rappresenta la monarchia.
Le sei contee sono contenute nella stella a sei punte.
La mano rossa è l'emblema degli antichi sovrani irlanesi O'Neil.
La croce di San Giorgio e la corona sono simboli della sovranità britannica.
