La bandiera è un campo rosso che simboleggia il vigore con un triangolo isoscele che simboleggia nella sua forma a V la conquistata indipendenza. Nel triangolo tre nastri orizzontali di nero, di blu chiaro e bianco con un sole sorgente giallo sul nastro nero che simboleggia l'alba di un nuovo stato sul mare dei Caraibi mentre il cono bianco simboleggia la speranza nel futuro.
